MARTHA:
Hello again my dear Michael,
You won’t believe this Michael, but I had the most amazing dream last
night and it was about a secret I’ve been keeping for many years. Two
days before my late husband (bless his soul) passed away he left me a
locked black case containing his prized and highly valued coin
collection. I was instructed not to open it (it’s locked but I have the
key safely secured in my home safe).
Upon my death the valued coin collection is to be willed to The
Crippled Children’s Foundation. When my husband was but a youth he
permanently crippled a young child who was crossing the street at a
school crossing. It pains me to say this, but my husband was drunk and
“stoned” and speeding when he struck a school bus, a crossing guard and
two small children. The crossing guard escaped with a broken ankle and
a severed left index finger, the buss driver sustained sever neck
pains, a lost eye, a crushed testicle, and as if that wasn’t bad
enough, was forced to go on permanent disability.
One child (the one who bounced off the cars windshield and landed on a
picked fence) was in a coma for six months but fully recovered (we can
only thank God for that!) and finally, the second child (a very pretty
girl–I’ve seen her picture.) was left permanently crippled (one leg
was caught under the car and the other was run over by the bus).
Michael, I have to take a break now. I’m extremely upset.
TWO HOURS LATER.
I’m okay now Michael. It’s been many years since I’ve
recalled this horrible tragedy and I want to thank you for being the
sweet man you are and listening to me. I’ve stopped crying now and I’ll
finish the story.
As you can imagine, my husband felt extremely guilty about what he had
done and vowed to do the best he could to help the Crippled Children’s
Foundation. For over fifty years he donated large sums of money and he
wanted to donate his valuable coin collection as well. He told me that
if I absolutely needed money I could sell some of the coins, otherwise
I was to donate it to the Crippled Children’s Foundation when I die.
Anyhow, back to my dream.
My dream was about the coins and it was about YOU. Since you and I
already have a secret, in my dream I told you about the coins and you
said it was alright to open the case and I did but (in my dream) I
don’t recall what you and I did after that. Oh Michael, what should I
do? I believe the dream was telling me something but I don’t know what
it was. I’m so alone with this secret and you are the only one I can
trust. I firmly believe that God brought you to me and I need you to
help me decide what to do.
Please write soon Michael.
Good bless, Martha
