Scamming the Scammer – Chapter 24

August 1, 2018 by Bill Brier Leave a Comment

Hello My Butter-Ball Lover,

I am soooooo excited. Oh, but first – my computer has been broken for

the last week and I lost all my emails so if you’ve written (I hope, I

hope) please resend them so that I may read your wonderful words.

I’m excited because project XX was just completed yesterday with the

sale of our “black gold” picked up in Nigeria and we made 11,500,000

USD (less 6,425,000 expenses). Not a bad profit uh? So sorry you

weren’t able to participate my love. Tragically, two people were killed

but that story is too long to go into now.

Guess what? Our little adventure even got in the papers. Daffy Duck

just sent me an Associated Press bulletin describing our caper. I’ve

attached it below for you to read. Amazing uh?

I’m so happy and excited that I want to pay for us to take a trip

somewhere…anywhere you would like to go my sugar plum, just say the

word and we’ll go. Oh, and by the way, project “Twinkle Toes” is still

ready to go as soon as we locate a Uzbekistan national, so get moving

and try to find one because there is lots of money to be made with this

cotton deal that I told you about earlier. Making money is soooo much

fun!

Write soon my love. I miss hearing from you and sharing secrets.

God bless you and Max, Martha

P.S. Below is the AP NEWS ITEM.

Warlord targets Nigerian oil

Fighters challenge multinational firms.

Published Tuesday, September 14, 2004

OKOROTA, Nigeria (AP) – Admirers call him Africa’s

Robin Hood of oil. Nigerian authorities call him an

outlaw in the mold of Al Capone.

As journalists watched, the warlord Alhaji Dokubo-

Asari quieted his fighters, barking orders not to

harass the oil crew. Asari had just completed

another daring oil hijacking, this time on the high

seas.

Five nights ago a mysterious tanker anchored two

miles off the coast of Port Harcourt was secretly

loaded with 500,000 barrels of crude oil and steamed

off into the night for parts unknown.

Asari talked to The Associated Press in Okorota, a

fishing village that stood abandoned apart from about

40 fighters, who use such nicknames as “Fire

Burn,” “Blackie” and “Cooking Spoon.” Asari bragged

about selling the oil to “independent business men”

in Hong Kong for five million USD in cash.

Leading gunmen who worship a god of war, Alhaji

Dokubo-Asari is trying to wrest the oil-rich Niger

Delta away from multinational oil giants and the

government – and put it into the hands of “the

people.”

Dokubo-Asari a mere thug who enriches himself through

armed robbery and oil theft, forging self-serving

alliances with other warlords and local politicians.

The practice, known as “bunkering,” results in

countrywide losses as high as 100,000 barrels a day,

or about 5 percent of Nigeria’s production.

The fighters wore the white headbands of tribal

warriors – “symbolizing strength,” their leader

said. “Come back tomorrow,” Dokubo-Asari gruffly

ordered the visitors.
